Shipping, Returns & Refunds Policy

Shipping, Returns & Refunds Policy

Last Updated: September 2026

Easel & Ink Studios is a creative community and marketplace that may feature products offered directly by Easel & Ink Studios as well as products offered by independent artists, makers, sellers, affiliate partners, and third-party retailers.

Because of that structure, shipping, return, exchange, and refund policies may vary depending on who actually sold you the product.

This policy explains the general distinction between purchases made directly from Easel & Ink Studios and purchases made from independent sellers or third-party retailers.

Before You Purchase

Please review the individual product listing and seller information carefully before completing a purchase.

Whenever applicable, the listing or seller should provide information concerning:

  • Product price
  • Processing or creation time
  • Shipping costs
  • Available shipping methods
  • Estimated delivery information
  • Return eligibility
  • Exchange policies
  • Refund policies
  • Custom or made-to-order conditions
  • Digital product conditions
  • Any other terms specific to the purchase

If you have questions about an independent seller’s policies, please ask the seller before purchasing.

Products Sold Directly by Easel & Ink Studios

When Easel & Ink Studios is specifically identified as the seller of a physical or digital product, the purchase is subject to this policy together with any additional terms displayed on the applicable product page or during checkout.

As our direct ecommerce offerings develop, product-specific shipping, processing, return, and refund information may be provided with individual listings.

When product-specific terms differ from this general policy, the terms clearly presented with the product or during checkout will apply to that transaction to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Products Sold by Independent Artists and Makers

Many of the wonderful things discovered through Easel & Ink Studios may be created and sold by independent artists, paint makers, artisans, small businesses, and other marketplace participants.

Unless Easel & Ink Studios is specifically identified as the seller, the independent seller is responsible for establishing and administering their own:

  • Processing times
  • Shipping rates
  • Shipping methods
  • Delivery policies
  • Returns
  • Refunds
  • Exchanges
  • Order cancellations
  • Lost or damaged package procedures
  • Customer service

A purchase made directly from an independent seller creates a transaction between the buyer and that seller.

Easel & Ink Studios does not automatically become the seller, merchant of record, fulfillment provider, or guarantor of an independent transaction merely because the buyer and seller discovered one another through our community.

Purchases Through Affiliate Links

Some products featured or recommended through Easel & Ink Studios may be available through affiliate links.

When you follow an affiliate link and purchase from an outside retailer, your purchase is made from that retailer rather than Easel & Ink Studios.

The retailer’s own shipping, cancellation, return, exchange, and refund policies apply.

Questions about those orders should be directed to the retailer responsible for processing the transaction.

Easel & Ink Studios, an administrator, contributor, or participating artist may receive a commission from qualifying affiliate purchases. Additional information is available in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Processing Times

Processing time is the amount of time required to prepare an order before it is shipped.

Handmade products may require additional processing time because they may be created, poured, mulled, assembled, packaged, or prepared individually by the artist or maker.

Processing time is separate from shipping or transit time.

Independent sellers are responsible for communicating their own expected processing times.

Handmade and Made-to-Order Products

Handmade art supplies and creative goods are part of what makes the Easel & Ink community special.

They are also, by their nature, handmade.

Small differences in color, texture, shape, finish, packaging, paint pours, pigment behavior, or other characteristics may occur between individual handmade items.

Reasonable variations inherent in handmade production should not automatically be considered defects.

Custom, personalized, commissioned, or made-to-order products may have different cancellation and return conditions because they are created specifically for an individual buyer.

Any such restrictions should be clearly communicated by the seller before or at the time of purchase.

Handmade Paints and Curated Palettes

Handmade and hand-poured paints may vary slightly between batches because of pigments, binders, environmental conditions, formulation, pouring methods, drying, and other aspects of small-batch production.

Curated palettes may also contain commercially manufactured paints selected and assembled by an independent artist or seller.

Buyers should review the product description carefully for information concerning the maker, manufacturer, pigment, formulation, quantity, pan size, palette contents, or other relevant characteristics.

Questions about an independently produced paint or palette should be directed to the seller or maker responsible for it.

Studio Destash and Pre-Owned Supplies

Where permitted by current marketplace rules, artists may offer surplus, unused, partially used, discontinued, or pre-owned studio supplies.

Destash products may not be eligible for the same returns or exchanges offered for new retail merchandise.

Sellers are responsible for accurately describing the condition of destashed items and clearly communicating their return or refund terms before purchase.

Buyers should carefully review descriptions and photographs and ask questions before purchasing pre-owned supplies.

Shipping

Shipping methods, carriers, rates, and destinations may vary according to the seller and product.

When Easel & Ink Studios sells a product directly, available shipping options and applicable charges will ordinarily be presented with the product or during checkout.

Independent sellers establish their own shipping practices.

Shipping estimates are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless a specific guarantee is expressly provided.

Carrier delays, weather, holidays, customs processing, transportation disruptions, incorrect addresses, and other circumstances outside the seller’s control may affect delivery.

Shipping Addresses

Buyers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address when placing an order.

If you discover an address error, contact the responsible seller as quickly as possible.

Once an order has been shipped, the seller may not be able to redirect or recover the package.

Additional shipping charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the buyer’s responsibility to the extent permitted by applicable law and the seller’s disclosed policies.

Lost, Delayed, or Missing Packages

If tracking indicates that a package is delayed or missing, the buyer should contact the seller responsible for the shipment.

The seller may ask the buyer to check tracking information, verify the shipping address, contact the carrier, or allow an appropriate amount of time for a delayed package to arrive.

Independent sellers determine their own procedures for replacing or refunding lost shipments, subject to applicable law and any protections provided by the payment or marketplace platform used for the transaction.

Packages Marked Delivered

If tracking indicates that an order has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please check the delivery location, household members, neighbors when appropriate, and information supplied by the carrier before contacting the seller.

The seller may assist with available carrier information but cannot necessarily control or recover a package after the carrier has recorded delivery.

Damaged Orders

If a product arrives damaged, contact the responsible seller as soon as reasonably possible.

The seller may request photographs of:

  • The damaged product
  • The shipping container
  • Internal packaging
  • The shipping label
  • Other visible damage relevant to a carrier or insurance claim

Please retain the packaging until the issue has been resolved, particularly when the seller or shipping carrier may require it for a claim.

Independent sellers establish their own replacement and refund procedures for damaged orders, subject to applicable law.

Returns

Return eligibility depends on the seller, type of product, condition of the item, and terms presented at the time of purchase.

Before returning an item, contact the seller responsible for your order and follow their return instructions.

Do not send a product to Easel & Ink Studios unless Easel & Ink Studios was the seller and you have been provided with appropriate return instructions.

Return Shipping Costs

Responsibility for return shipping costs will depend on the circumstances of the return, the seller’s disclosed policy, and applicable law.

Independent sellers are responsible for communicating their own return-shipping terms.

When Easel & Ink Studios sells an item directly, applicable return-shipping terms will be provided with the product, during checkout, or as part of the return authorization process.

Refunds

Approved refunds will generally be returned through the payment method or payment service associated with the original transaction when reasonably possible.

Processing times after a refund is issued may vary depending on the bank, card issuer, payment processor, or marketplace involved.

For independent transactions, refund decisions and processing are handled by the independent seller and applicable payment provider.

Exchanges

Exchange availability depends on the seller and product.

Handmade, one-of-a-kind, limited edition, discontinued, and original artworks may not have an identical replacement available.

Independent sellers should communicate their own exchange policies.

Original Artwork

Original artwork is inherently unique.

Buyers should review photographs, dimensions, materials, descriptions, framing information, and other relevant details before purchasing an original work.

Digital images may not reproduce physical colors perfectly because of photography, lighting, scanning, monitor calibration, device settings, and other variables.

Return eligibility for original artwork is determined by the responsible seller and applicable law.

Digital Products

Easel & Ink Studios or participating artists may offer digital products such as printable artwork, tutorials, patterns, reference materials, educational resources, or downloadable files.

Because digital products can generally be accessed or copied immediately after delivery, they may have different cancellation, return, or refund conditions than physical products, subject to applicable law.

Any restrictions should be disclosed with the applicable product.

If you experience a technical problem accessing a digital product purchased directly from Easel & Ink Studios, please contact us so we can attempt to resolve the issue.

Commissions and Personalized Work

Commissioned artwork, personalized products, custom palettes, and other made-to-order creations may require deposits, approval stages, or special cancellation and refund terms.

Artists offering commissioned or personalized work are responsible for communicating those terms to the buyer before accepting the order.

Unless Easel & Ink Studios is specifically identified as the artist or seller, commission agreements are between the buyer and the independent artist.

Gift Cards and Promotional Items

Gift cards, promotional credits, giveaways, free products, samples, and other special offers may be subject to separate terms and may not be redeemable for cash except where required by applicable law.

Any special conditions will be provided with the applicable offer when appropriate.

International Orders

Some sellers may offer international shipping.

International buyers may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, VAT, or other charges imposed by the destination country or applicable authorities.

These charges are generally separate from the product price and ordinary shipping charges unless expressly stated otherwise.

International buyers should review the seller’s shipping terms and applicable local requirements before purchasing.

Third-Party Payment and Marketplace Protections

Transactions completed through third-party payment processors, ecommerce services, or marketplaces may include additional buyer or seller protections.

Those protections are governed by the applicable third party’s own terms and procedures.

Nothing in this policy is intended to eliminate consumer rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.

Marketplace Disputes

When a purchase occurs between independent marketplace participants, buyers and sellers should first attempt to resolve shipping, return, refund, or product concerns directly with one another.

If the transaction was processed through an external marketplace or payment service, the parties may also have access to that service’s dispute-resolution procedures.

Easel & Ink Studios may review conduct that affects the integrity or safety of our community, but we are not obligated to mediate or reimburse private transactions between independent buyers and sellers.

Fraud and Abuse

Easel & Ink Studios may restrict participation by individuals reasonably believed to be engaging in fraudulent transactions, intentionally false claims, abusive chargebacks, deceptive listings, repeated non-fulfillment, or other conduct that threatens the safety or integrity of the community.

Changes to This Policy

Our marketplace is intended to grow alongside the artists who use it.

We may update this Shipping, Returns & Refunds Policy as Easel & Ink Studios introduces new ecommerce features, payment systems, seller tools, fulfillment methods, or marketplace services.

When substantive changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page may be revised.
